We absolutely loved our stay at North Star. The complex is probably one of the best in Whistler. It’s just stepping away from the marketplace and the Olympic park, but the complex itself is very quiet. The heated pool and hot tub of the complex are also great. Our 9 months old enjoyed the pool immensely. The unit itself is very clean and it looks like it has been renovated recently. The bed in the bedroom is king-size and pretty comfortable. The sofa bed in the living room is also good. The window coverings were double layered and blocking the light perfectly, which we needed for our daughter to be able to sleep well. All in all, I can’t recommend it enough. We will go back to North Star again in the future.

Staying at James Apartment was just perfect. The whole apartment is very clean, super equipped kitchen, very large and comfortable bed. After a hike or bike ride, you had the opportunity to warm up in front of the fireplace, use the public whirlpool or have a cozy barbecue outside. The apartment is very well located near Lost Lake (nature trail) but also close to the bike park and lots of shopping and restaurants. We can recommend the apartment 100% and will definitely be back. A huge big thank you to Marian (contact person), he was always available for us with questions and made our stay in Whistler even nicer. Keep it up😊

Very nice place to stay at Creekside. The listing is as described, and the updates to the unit are very nice. The review is for 2 stars due to very poor management, when issues arise. Any stay may have an unexpected issue, but the manner in which they are addressed tells a lot about the host. I want to preface this review by saying that had these issues been addressed in a professional manner, this would be a 5 star review. I would never fault a host for issues beyond their control if they did the best job they could to resolve them. When I arrived at the unit, there was no power. This unit is electric only. The main breaker for the unit had flipped, and no one knew where the breaker was located or how to access it. This is very basic information someone should know about their property. Thus, for the entire first day, and part of the second day, there was no heat, hot water, lights, or electricity at all, simply due to the fact that they didn’t know where their breakers were located. The fridge was molding due to no power for several days prior to when I arrived, as the unit had been vacant. This was mentioned to the host, but they did not address it, so I did significant cleaning to be able to use the fridge later on in the stay. No portion of the cleaning fee was refunded. Again, not the hosts fault, but they did not address the issue in a professional manner. They did not offer anything like extra blankets, etc when there was no power, and it was below freezing outside with snow falling. They did not even offer a partial refund except when AirBnB support had to be involved. They suggested some alternative options to stay at, but this is Whistler - anything available last minute that was comparable was at least twice the price. I was told jokingly I should just enjoy camping in the unit - this was on a freezing cold night when it was snowing outside. Once power was restored on the second day of the stay, the unit still did not heat very well. I looked at the thermostat and the high-temp limit was set very low (max temp approximately around 60F, based on feel) so that when the dial was adjusted to the max temperature, the thermostat only heated slightly. This was a quick fix with a screwdriver to adjust high-temp limit, which I did myself. I would usually give the benefit of the doubt to the host regarding the thermostat limit issue as an honest mistake. However, when I brought mentioned this issue, I was told that they had rented the unit for 21 nights without an issue prior to this, so I was a problem guest and I would be better suited to stay elsewhere. As someone who works in property management, 3 weeks is just the beginning of setting up an AirBnB, so I hope the hosts learn better property management skills, as the unit is very nice. It was extremely insulting to be told I was a problem guest because I brought up two very legitimate issues - 1) a complete lack of power and heat in the unit, and 2) a very low thermostat max temperature limit, with the offer that I raise the limit myself to not inconvenience the hosts. The review would have been 5 stars had the power issue and thermostat issue been addressed in a professional manner and had a acceptable partial refund been offered for the lack of power and additional cleaning I had to do without needing to involve AirBnB support. If you don’t have any problems, you will have a good stay at this unit. It is genuinely very nice inside.

It’s very comfortable & super convenient to Creekside Gondola. The instructions to self-check-in & Check -out are very clear so finding the place and entering the unit was a breeze. The unit was very clean and easy to adapt to, we enjoyed our stay. The washer/dryer was very helpful as we had cleaned some our clothes before leaving. If we have a chance we will stay again.
